Colour Visionary - Vogue China, March 2011

Cibeles Fashion Week "EL EGO" - MADRID

Yesterday I was in Ego (where young designers present). I was waiting for the parade of El Colmillo de Morsa. I discovered this brand in the FAD (Barcelona). They are artists, good people and humble. Perhaps it was the most conservative part of the Ego, without risk, but effective. Collection inspired by minerals, "like precious gems, such that once carved and like humans show many different faces even only be one. " The pattern has a unisex basis. The collection is called Adam's Rib. The first look was in gold silk, I didn't like me but then came the brown and green and after these, the part that I liked, it was the wine color and cubist prints, beautiful.
Details I liked: pleated leather, gorgeous handbags and backpacks and a well worked point as the skin.

Then came the parade of Cati Serrà. A nice collection as a whole, in which she played with different textures. Emphasize the great point (I fell in love) and fur coats.

Cibeles Fashion Week - MADRID II

Ana Locking bets in geometry in the collection. An elegant collection that was acclaimed by the majority of the public. Ana, uses deconstruction in their jackets. Ana knows the technique and she realizes it perfect as you can see in previous proposals. How ever, chosen shoes are wonderful. The collection explains perfectly the personality of Ana, an artist and wonderful person.

David Delfín presented his collection Dyogenes Syndrome. Made a collection with a lot of overlap creating garments woven with many details. The collection evolved and we could enjoy the conceptual work that we are accustomed. Once again, the shoes were by Christian Loubotin. Linking art that Madrid is living (ARCO), David Delfín used the artist Christian Boltanski to create a mountain of clothing above runway, concerning the name of the collection Dyogenes Syndrome. I like the image brand that David Delfín owns. Their collections are more conceptual and clothing are not very surprising.

Agatha Ruiz de la Prada celebrated 30 years in Madrid fashion week. The collection surprised, Agatha reinvented in this show. Personally I don’t like Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, but I admire his ability to have created an empire and a brand that works and sells.

FELICIDADES!
Andres Sarda has done an excellent collection, inspired by Latin American culture. It was a combination of excellent choices. Starting with the magnificent jewels by Rabat, catalan company recently installed in the capital. Followed by the choice of shoes, Jeffrey Campbell (made in Elche, Spain) and ending with the choice of music, guitars, marimbas and rancheras. This combination has made the parade of Andres Sarda surprising, it was a show, which amused me. Passed a long time that I was not surprised with a collection of Cibeles. I think the last one was the collection of Jose Castro, Aurora, which was the craziness collection I ever seen. CONGRATULATIONS!

Cibeles Fashion Week - MADRID

Today started Cibeles Fashion Week. I don’t expect beeing surprised. I’m waiting for Ana Locking, El colmillo de Morsa and the jewels worn by models in the Andres Sardà.

Today I attended at Jesus del Pozo. Baroque collection, a belle époque…in my opinion little achieved. I didn’t like the collection.

A R C O

Algunos artistas eran Damien Hirst, Antonio López, Joan Miró, Marina Abramovic, Nelson Leirner, Fernando Botero, Daniela Edburg o Mark Quinn.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of being at ARCO, and my eyes give thanks to the person who invited me. When I entered, I breathed a genius work environment,

I was not surprised, but I loved it. When I will be old I'd like to have money just to collect art. I love the vision that each one has of what surrounds us. There was painting, sculpture, photography, different techniques ... it was great.

Finally, we went for coffee at the Illy bar designed by Tobias Rehberger, who I had the pleasure to see when I was entering in ARCO.
